Movie Battles II: RC3 P2 Released
There are two main game types in MBII that are played. These are Full Authentic (FA) and Open mode (Open). FA is a siege game type where each player selects a character from the movie battle and plays as such in an attempt to accomplish an objective. In other words it is Full Authentic to the movie's battle. Open, the more popular of the two, is a class based siege in which you pick a class to complete an objective. The classes vary from being an imperial stormtrooper, to being a wookie that can tear your arms off, to being a stealthy sniper to pick off enemies from a long range, to being an RPG wielding Arc trooper, to being the classical Jedi or a Sith. The possibilities are endless. Whether you want to have duel of the fates between Darth Vader and Luke, or Maul and Qui Gon, you can do it in Movie Battles' open mode. The gameplay and selection of classes involves a point progression in which the more kills you get, the more points you have to buy add-ons or upgrades for your classes, forcepowers for Jedi and Sith, and skills such as being able to dodge bullets! A great feature in Movie Battles is its new aspect on a player's life. In the normal siege mode, if you die you merely respawn after a couple of seconds. In Movie Battles, if you die, you are dead for the round and have to wait until the 5 minute round ends or the objective of the team to be accomplished. That is unless you have a class where you can use your points to buy an extra life. This is balanced in the way that troops like a stormy can have 3 lifes, yet have less health. While Jedis have a lot of health, but no abilities to buy extra lifes. Movie Battles II has had a history for being in beta for years, but now the final release is nearing and Movie Battles releases its third Release Candidate. RC1 Patch 1 (RC3 P1) This new version of the game includes more maps, more class abilities, and more of what makes this mod great!
