New vs Old - Page conversions
Hi all,
this is a fast note that I'll be giving about the web & structure. Currently you're looking at the Old engine. Afaik, !Base is not ideal way to communicate with, even though my coding talents are good enough, but I prefer to work with vBulletin.
For that the reason vBulletin is active on the forums, how they're looking is just "Basic" and will change through the time. There for, please be patient because I'm still looking for a graphical designer to help me improoving all pages.
Then also included will be the all page conversions as included this on RavenClans.com, RavenFiles.com & RavenCommunity.net. RavenArchives.net will run this version of engine but all login and registrations will be disabled. Furthermore, I'll try to seek a way where I can input all or most of this news on the vB page/section.
So far this quick news, more will be following. You will be able to track most of this via our forums.
regards,
EuT.be

Asteroid Base II for Elite Force
Apprentice is proud to present again a preview for his latest project named "Asteroid Base II". As the successor of 2004's most anticipated and highly regarded map Asteroid Base, Asteroid Base II continues where its predecessor was forced to stop. The map has been in development for nearly two years and shall be released in two days, Wednesday April 30th at midnight (0:00) CET. It will feature several new area's as well as variations on existing themes and playable modes that were not present within the original map.The map shall be released in four (4) different versions, which will all seporately available.
An overview:
- AB2_HM
This version is the standard Holomatch version and supports nine (9) players.
- AB2_CTF
This version can be used for Capture the Flag and the regular Team Holomatch games. This version supports 4vs4 players.
- AB2_TEAM
This version can be used to play both Capture the Flag and Team Holomatch games (4vs4 players), yet this version is different then the earlier mentioned AB2_CTF version. In this version, players will start with either Federation or alien weaponry (both teams shall have the phaser) and some power-ups including armour. Unlike the CTF version, power-ups are limited and additional weaponry and health have been removed.
- AB2_Salinga
This version has especially been made for the In2tagib modification created by Lt. Cmdr. Salinga but it can also be used for the Disintegration game that comes with either the 1.2 patch or the Expansion pack. The map supports both Holomatch as Capture the Flag/Team Holomatch games and supports partially Salinga's Gladiator Arena mod, though it was not developed for it. This version will support nine (9) players in regular Holomatch games and 4vs4 players in team based games.
Take a look at Apprentice's homepage for downloads and more info about his projects!

Scooter's Canon Mod for Elite Force!
Despite discontinuing development - Scooter's Canon Mod Version 0.4 - is the newest installment of his genuinely stunning overhaul of Elite Force. As with the previous version; a great many textures have been replaced and improved upon, and of course the Hazard Team no longer adorn the Hazard Suits - instead they have the correct Uniform that suits the era.
This download however contains many more new, high resolution, textures. Scooter notes that this includes the majority of textures used in the maps ctf_voy1 and ctf_voy2. The stock version of Elite Force most definitely has a lot to be desired in terms of how it looks, although, this file most definitely makes an improvement and comes to you highly recommend by Elite Force Files!

Stonehenge Duel map for Elite Force
This will be a comfortable map for the Brits among us, and an enjoyable map for those of us that enjoy something completely different from the norm! We have here a reproduction of Stonehenge as the setting in this one on one map...which is an interesting choice: 1v1_stonehenge is a relatively small map, and as mentioned, features the likeness of the Mysterious stonehenge; As you can imagine, there is plenty of cover offered by the boulders, so both attacking your opponent, and/or defending yourself can be a challenge as well as a simple task. To save on fall damage, try to land on the blue areas, and if you happen to fall off the battlefield, there will be a small hit to your health, but you'll teleport back to the fun!
Some of what this map features:
*1v1 level (single, tourney, ffa)
*Bot support
*Custom textures
*Custom sounds
Ammo pickups feature the following values:
*Compressionrifle = 64
*Dreadnought = 80
*I-mod = 30
*Stasis = 30
This is definitely a must have map that you can get at Elite Force Files.

Starbase 11 SP mod for Elite Force released!
Starbase 11 is a single-player mod for Raven's Star Trek Voyager Elite Force and is based on the original Star Trek series. It allows the player to tour and explore this sprawling base as it was in the year 2267.
Starbase 11 was seen in two TOS episodes, "Courtmartial" and "The Menagerie", and most of the areas seen in those episodes have been recreated for this mod. The mod goes beyond what was seen on television, however, and new areas have been designed and built to create all the facilities one would expect to find at a starbase. The tour portion of the mod is divided into two main sections: the planetside base; and an orbital facility. Each section includes maps of several buildings and areas, and there are hubs from which you can travel back and forth between maps.
In addition to the tour portion, there are sixteen combat missions in which you fight against enemies such as Klingons, Romulans, Orion Pirates, and Gorn. These missions can be run from within the tour portion as holographic simulations, like the holodeck programs in Elite Force's original single-player campaign and expansion pack.
As of February 9, 2006, the mod is complete and available for download. The links below will take you to screenshots of each section of the mod. The links at the bottom of the page will allow you to download the mod itself.
Starbase 11 is a large mod which took a year and four months to complete. It originally began as a simple holomatch map, and consisted solely of what are now two floors of Building 1. As the map grew, it eventually became too large and complex for the holomatch engine to handle, and I decided to change the project into a mod for single-player.
It was created and developed by Las Rojas and you can find it at Elite Farce homepage!

Nexus Station for Elite Force
Gijon's Elite Force last map, Nexus Station, is out now!
There is a circular trench that goes around the middle of the map, and a square area directly in the centre. Above this is a floating platform with an X marking on it. On the edge of the ground level there is a little room with windows which you can shoot from. It seems there are some random crates and rocks scattered about in various places.
There are several main levels in the map including the ground level, the trench, some walkways coming from the floating platform, a level just under the flag, and the flag level itself. There are quite a few dark nooks and crannies to hide in throughout the map, and a couple of ways to make it to the bases depending on which level you are on.
"I believe most (if not all) weapons are placed at some point in the map, I didn't see many powerups though. You may also notice some ambient sounds of wind and the birds when reaching the higher levels of the map."
Bot Support: Yes
New Shaders: Yes
New Textures: Yes
New Sounds: Yes
New Models: No
You can find it at Elite Force Files !

Steiner Coliseum for Elite Force
This is a deathmatch Elite Force map very much like a gladiator arena. I believe it is based from another game called Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries.
Most of the standard weapons are scattered throughout the battlefield, including the arc welder. Health seemed in a bit of a short supply, I guess you'll just have to dodge well! There is a cheering sound coming from the stands towards the edge of the map, which is a nice feature. There are also some very undersized trees or bushes, which you can jump on top of, they don't look that great though.
This map is for only for Single, FFA, TDM, or Tourney gametypes, and does not support CTF. So if you're ready for some free for all action in the arena, go get it now at Elite Force Files!

Argas Effect Act. 1 for Elite Force
"Captain's Log, Stardate 6097.2, The Enterprise is on a diplomatic mission to Argas V. The Federation has sent an ambassador there to assist in their membership application to join the UFP. While in orbit something or someone has attacked and killed my crew. I am the only survivor on board the Enterprise. Who or what has done this? Why was I spared? And what awaits me on the planet surface?"
SpaceStation K7 is proud to announce the release of Act 1 of the single player modification for Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force entitled The Argas Effect. This is the first act of 3 in this modification for EF1 and is the first single player mod and first person shooter dedicated entirely to The Original Series. Explore the Enterprise and see familiar faces from the series.
Experience what it feels like to be Captain Kirk alone against an unknown danger. Make a difference....Solve the mystery!
Probably the best single player mod ever released for Star Trek Voyager Elite Force, take a look at Elite Force Files.

STRP Headquarters Mappack for Elite Force
This great mappack for Elite Force includes 5 maps. Each version has some new things and fixes.
There are several buildings around a big garden. I'm sure you will recognize the garden. If I remember correctly it's identical to the garden in EF2. There is a lot of water and a shuttlecraft on the right along with some trees and bushes spread over the entire garden. You spawn in the main building which houses a few things like lecture rooms. The corridors are very detailed and look very nice. Behind almost all doors there is a office with a desk and some chairs. The JAG building has a brig, courtroom, judges chamber and apparently a pool. The JAG area is only available in v6. Did notice some small bugs. The console was flooded with errors and all the chairs were lacking a texture. On the starship bridge some of the consoles disappeared after clicking the +use button. Also no weapons or powerups have been included, although this is a roleplaying map after all. It's alright if you're into that kind of thing.
When downloading this please be aware of the fact that the map requires about 90 megabyte of diskspace.
You can get it at Elite Force Files!

Mariana
The cathedral of Mariana, for Elite Force, is nothing short of a eyecandy. Every texture is high quality and it looks great. The blue base is located at the surface and the red one below the surface. A transporter is the only way to travel between the 2 bases. The blue base has the cathedral and some sort of a shrine building. Some trees and stuff like that have been added to make it an interesting enviroment. The blue flag is located right behind the Deltaflyer.
After going through the transporter you'll land in the dungeon of doom otherwise known as the red base. There are some doors that open and some are locked. Powerups have been added behind almost all doors that do open. The red flag is placed at the back. Get back to the blue base by means of the transporter in the center. It is suggested no more than 8 players on capture the flag and 10 players FFA.
You can find this awesome map for Elite Force in Elite Force Files as usual!

CTF Facemix for Elite Force
Facemix is a new faceoff like map. It's a mix between voy and faceoff. The map is pretty big therefore it takes some time to get accross.
Some may say that the base looks a bit weird but at least it's something different for a change. The weapon placement is not that great but perhaps that's because I am used to the original faceoff. Some pilars have been added just for the fun of it. Aside from the 2 sniper platforms in each base there are also 4 sniper boxes in the center which of course can be reached by means of a transporter. It's kind of a shame that you cannot jump back on the map from the sniper boxes above the base like faceoff.
Unfortunately the FPS is kind of unstable. It's not that bad but it could be fixed with a little work.
You can find it at Elite Force Files.

Update Mod 1.30 Service Pack 1 for Elite Force
You MUST have this to play on servers running the Elite Force unofficial 1.3 Patch! This installer will only work for people who originally installed the mod using the original EXE installer. If you installed from the ZIP file, or if this installer doesn't work for whatever reason, you will need to get the ZIP version of Service Pack 1 here.
Fixes in Service Pack 1:
- Photonic Regeneration gave wrong message when used
- fs_game was incorrectly set
- Sometimes respawned invincible when carrying medkit upon
death (thx PeaceWiz)
- Walljump registered incorrectly when playing on a server
that had walljumping turned 'off' (thx Paracyte)
- Team scores were overlapped by game mod name in ingame
scoreboard (thx Gez)
- Used more informative kick message when trying to connect to
an Update Mod server without having the Update Mod started.
You can find it in Elite Force Files!

Elite Force Echelon
In the beginning there was darkness, the emptyness of ones life waiting for the light, then a single byte flares into excistance, then another, soon thousands more. Features emerge from the chaos and Elite Force Echelon is born.
Seriously though, Elite Force Echelon is a new breed of server query programs. It was born completely by chance and took several months to finish. While words alone may not be enough there are some screenshots below that might do.
A lot of features are included to give Echelon just that little bit extra that Pathfinder is lacking. Echelon is an ongoing project which means potential updates are made available when necessary. The automatic update feature ensures the program is up to date with the best features around. Multi-language support is available (English US & UK, German, Dutch, and Portuguese) for those wishing to use the program in their native language. Colors can be changed with the theme option to give it a more personal look. After querying the Master for servers you will notice that each map displays a levelshot on the left. All levelshots are downloaded when necessary thus reducing original download size. This will help you to see what map is exactly being played before entering a server. If that isn't enough, you can even set custom names with which you want to enter the server and echelon will remember them for you. The same can be done with server passwords. Easily search for friends with the built-in search feature, enter a name, click on find and you will immediately find out whether your friends are roaming around in the servers. Add your favorite servers to the favorite list so you can easily query it and see who's online at that moment. Multiple Master server support has been implemented in case the Ravensoft master goes down so you will still be able to query the other masters for a server list. Both player and server name are displayed on the top with the colors they are using. Complex clan tags are no problem for Echelon.
Quickly query 5 different versions of Star Trek Voyager Elite Force and 2 different versions of Star Trek Elite Force II. The version can be set in the options menu. The ability to set a path to a different executable for each version makes it easy to join a server without any hassle about a new path for a executable. Restore the original settings back by clicking a single button.
You can find it at Elite Force Files.

CTF Elite Force Pinball v1.1
This map is an update to the original pinball map. The original map is not required to play this map although you probably have checked it out since it is such a cool map. EFPinball takes you right into...you guessed it right...a pinball machine. Each team has their own machine and are connected by means of a transporter. I'll start with the outside of the machines, they have been given a lot of detail. Be sure to keep your wallet ready 'cause every ball is 50 cents wink There are platforms up in the air along with some jumppads to quickly maneuver around the map. It is advised that you stay on the platforms, falling off will result into death. The sky is elegant in its simplicity, stars with Voyager and a Borg Sphere. Inside the machines is where the real action takes place. All of the surfaces are slick which make it difficult, but also fun to roam across the map. The bumpers will shoot you around the machine. Alot of goodies like powerups and weapons have been placed around so it's hard to encounter the enemy team and not have a weapon. It's hard to shoot enemy players because of the slick surfaces but practice makes perfect smile The brushes are all very detailed, take a look at the screenshots and you'll know what I mean. There are some corridors like the Borg Tunnel, which makes you move around insanely fast. This map is suitable for 8 vs 8 players, maybe even more.
All in all, Pinball is a very cool map that deserves a download. The beauty alone is reason enough to get it.
Check it out at Elite Force Files!
