RavenGames.com is a non-commercial, independent fan site focusing
on games created by Raven Software. None of our staff is paid for the work done
at RavenGames. That said, we are not the company who made these games,
they are to be found at Raven Software.
We have a moderately long history (the domain ravengames.com
was registered on December 12, 1998). RavenGames.com as a single site went online
in early 1999 for a couple of months and then got abandoned. After nearly 2
years of living dead, a new team took over and resurrected the site, so that
it went online for the second time on May 1, 2001.
Since early-mid 2002, RavenGames.com is also the center of
the RavenGames Network consisting of several sites, each focusing on a different
area of the online gaming world:
- RavenGames.com serves daily news about everything Raven and offers
an extensive info base for each game.
- RavenCommunity.net brings you news of the modding/mapping community
of Raven's games. No commercial stuff here, every news item talks about what
gamers created for other gamers. This site also offers free hosting to gaming
sites focused on Raven games.
- RavenClans.com informs you about the latest happenings in the Raven
clan world. It also offers a - fee-based - deluxe hosting for clans with the
highest standards.
- RavenForums.com offers everyone a series of public forums - one for
each game -, where you can discuss anything about Raven's games.
- RavenFiles.com collects all official files for all Raven games at
one place, plus all downloads of our hosted sites and a couple of extra goodies.
- RavenArchives.com is the place where old versions of the website has been placed.
In the end of 2003 and the beginning of 2004 RambOrc handed over the site and its content to sneax, EuT and Col JP who are now running the site, with the help of RambOrc. Around the year of 2006 RavenGames.com was bought over by Freak and toghetter with his coder rockerBOO who tried to improoved but did'nt succeeded. Then from June the 1st, where EuT.be has bought over the site he's tending to improove the site and hopes that all goes well again. Included, all mentioned persons in this text are list on the Honorable list.
We want everybody to be able to participate in our community,
thus this site should display fine in all major browsers under Windows, Linux
and MacOS. Should you still have some probs, we ask you to report them to the
webmaster, we will try to
fix them as far as possible.
I you have an opinion about how we should improve this site
or anything else in or around the network, we always welcome feedback.
